acoustic show. success.
Friday night in downtown SJ turned out to be a romantic evening at the lovely Caffe' Trieste. We played 7 songs, stripped down to just acoustic instruments. We had a great response from a warm audience.
A special thank you to Eddie who put the show together, and promoted it very well. We will definitely be throwing in some more acoustic shows, our next will be in Feb. at Red Rock cafe in Mountain View.
Whats coming, whats going...
Were adding and subtracting things from the live set constantly, but we are all definitely excited for our show on thursday at the Voodoo Lounge 1/29. There might be an old song or two you might recognize
A summer tour is definitely in the works, planning is commencing. Hitting the road will open us up to some new experiences and audiences.
An online store is also underway for all of you out of town folks interested in the usual, CD, shirts, pins and the soon to be kayhan/ambience tea company. Also we will be doing a limited run of prints from artist Mike Kury, who does all of our graphics.
The most up to date list of shows is posted:

Episode Two: Ambience Strikes Back
Thank you for joining us yet again in the lovely San Francisco last night. We were welcomed with beautiful weather and a wonderful crowd of people. I think its safe to say the band has officially stepped into the SF scene, although it was a room made up of mostly south bay folk, who rock, mixed with a few SF'ers and a couple from maine that found us online.
Last night was especially memorable for me, as I was able to share the evening with some of my best friends, musicians, and family. I was honored to share the stage with Endika, Laxman, Jeff and David Knight of Panthelion. They started the show off and blew everyones minds, period. Our studio mates and jam mastas of Good Hustle ended the night with a well put together intro to the club by walkin through the front door, followed by a eloquent rap about 2009. Gavin Drew and Mark of dredg made an appearance with some friends, it was great to see them enjoying the show with us. They are a common friendship that certainly bonds us all.
Our set was definitely interesting, I felt overall it was a success. We had a few technical issues here and there, mostly stemming from lack of preparation due to being on vacation and all. We started the show on a new drum intro, which is still in its infancy, but adds a nice touch. I think the highlights were the new songs and our drum circle outro.
A noteable event was that our trailer managed to not get closed properly, and opened on 280 on the way home. Antroms brand new twin amp vanished into oblivion, luckily nothing else fell out. Hes going to be ok, just send him your love.
We have some fun things coming our way, were playing a special acoustic set friday 1/16 at Barefoot Coffee in Santa Clara. If your in the area, come stop by and enjoy a matte, thats usually where i write these blogs. Although right now im watching heima at home with an empty tea mug.
I recently discovered a band from Seattle which demonstrates my true love for 70's folk rock (CSNY, Neil Young, Bob Dylan ect) Check out the Fleet Foxes... give them a good listen. I was watching current TV's La Blogotheque, they were featured on this french music video blog show, perfoming music in random places. I was truly touched by these guys over the past few days.
Were playing a line up of acoustic gigs, while we continue to write and evolve. Tune in to soundcheck this sunday on live 105 (7-10) and come to the Hotel Utah march 27th
Peace Love Oneness and Red Stripe
